Tim Vanderbrink made a tackle on a two-point conversion attempt with 1:52 left in Smithtown West’s 14-13 win over Smithtown East in Suffolk Division II on Saturday afternoon to seal the win for Smithtown West (3-3) in Suffolk II.

Vanderbrink also had a 15-yard touchdown reception from Brayden Stahl in the first quarter and an 80-yard touchdown run in the second quarter for Smithtown West (3-3). Smithtown East is 1-5.

Lindenhurst 7, West Islip 3: Brendan O’Connor’s 9-yard touchdown pass to Chris Carson in the second quarter was the only touchdown of the game. Dan DeFelice made nine tackles and had a sack. Jake Trovato made eight tackles, Tom Wrightington made eight tackles and had a sack. Orrik Blaise had an interception and Brennan McNeilley recovered a fumble for Lindenhurst (5-1). West Islip is 3-2.

Half Hollow Hills East 49, North Babylon 27: Dakim Griffin rushed for 323 yards and four touchdowns on 14 carries to lead Half Hollow Hills East (3-2).

Jacob Robinson completed 4 of 5 passes for 226 yards and three touchdowns and Louis Mathurin caught three passes for 191 yards and two scores. Jordan Heyman caught a 36-yard touchdown pass in the first half for Hills East. Gianni D’Agnese went 7-for-7 on PATs, Shaki Beatha made eight tackles and Elias Barret had four tackles and a sack. North Babylon is 2-4.

Huntington 42, Centereach 14: Josiah Melendez had a receiving, rushing, and interception return touchdown for Huntington (4-2). Melendez caught an 80-yard pass from Anthony Annunziata in the second quarter. He scored again on a 60-yard interception return for Huntington’s final score of the game. Ryan Porzio had the game’s first score when he returned an interception 30 yards for a touchdown in the first quarter. Centereach is 1-5.

Bellport 42, Connetquot 0: Donte Phillips rushed for 96 yards and three scores on 15 carries and Jack Halpin rushed for 98 yards and two scores on eight carries to lead Bellport (5-1). Halpin also completed 5 of 7 passes for 120 yards and Phillips made three catches for 70 yards. Calvin Pedatella and Marc Promutico led the defense with eight tackles apiece.

Newfield 36, Copiague 6: Devin Aviles ran for 201 yards and three touchdowns and Joe Hackal added 79 yards rushing and a TD to lead Newfield (4-2). Dylan Smith had two catches for 52 yards and a touchdown.
