Jake Trovato rushed for 125 yards and two touchdowns on 18 carries, had a 23-yard TD reception from Brenden O’Connor to open the scoring for his team and added 12 tackles as Lindenhurst beat Centereach, 28-21, in Suffolk Division II football Friday night.

O’Connor completed 11 of 17 passes for 127 yards and two touchdowns. Chris Carson had eight receptions for 73 yards and a touchdown. He also added eight tackles and two sacks. Orrik Blaise rushed for 74 yards on eight carries for Lindenhurst (6-1). Centereach is 1-6.

Huntington 44, Copiague 0: Robbie Smith rushed for 140 yards and two touchdowns on 13 carries and Josiah Melenez rushed for 105 yards and two touchdowns on eight carries to lead Huntington (5-2).

Lucas Petrizzi rushed for 40 yards and a touchdown on five carries and Christian St. John rushed for 50 yards and a touchdown on four carries. Jayden Taylor completed both of his pass attempts for 20 yards. Copiague is 0-7.

North Babylon 55, Smithtown East 22: Justyn Ortiz ran for 172 yards and four touchdowns on 10 carries to power North Babylon (3-4). Davion Lofton rushed for 136 yards and two touchdowns on 17 carries and Joel Lomax rushed for 41 yards and a touchdown on three carries.

Chris Stumpf had a 41-yard touchdown pass to Jack Montecalvo in the win. Smithtown East is 1-6.

Bellport 21, West Islip 10: Donte Phillips rushed for 144 yards on 28 carries, including a 4-yard touchdown run, for Bellport. Jack Halpin rushed for 115 yards on six carries, including an 8-yard touchdown run for Bellport (6-1). Jesse Barnes rushed a 14-yard touchdown to give Bellport a 21-3 lead in the third quarter. West Islip falls to 3-3.
