Ronnie Beard helps Commack beat Ward Melville

Ronnie Beard had four catches for 104 yards and two touchdowns as Commack defeated Ward Melville, 34-27, in Suffolk I football Friday night. Ryan Sheridan completed 17 of 32 passes for 341 yards and two touchdowns, making it the fourth game he has thrown for more than 300 yards this season. Kevin Snyder had 23 carries for 76 yards and two touchdowns for Commack (3-3) and Alec Masiello led the defense with 14 tackles and a sack.

Sachem North 27, Brentwood 20: Alezandro Aponte’s 1-yard touchdown run in the fourth quarter gave Sachem East (4-2) a 27-20 lead. It was Aponte’s second 1-yard scoring run in the quarter, his first gave the Flaming Arrows a 20-13 lead. Aponte finished with 86 yards and two scores on 22 carries. Courtney Williams had five receptions for 79 yards, including a 24-yard touchdown in the second quarter to give Sachem East a 7-6 lead. Williams added a 91-yard touchdown run on a reverse in the third quarter.

Connetquot 26, Whitman 21: Andrew Wright had 10 tackles, a sack, an interception and two pass breakups to lead Connetquot (4-2). Dylan McDermott completed 22 of 33 passes for 314 yards. Christian Pisano had seven receptions for 148 yards and a touchdown and Anthony Del Negro had 10 catches for 108 yards and ran for a score.

Floyd 35, Patchogue-Medford 14: D’Andre Primus caught a 26-yard touchdown pass from Robert Taiani and returned an interception 20 yards for a touchdown to lead Floyd (6-0). Nick Silva had 13 carries for 139 yards and a touchdown and Jordan Clinton scored twice on runs of 5 and 2 yards. Ryan Cruz made all five extra points and tied with Keith Winfrey for the team lead with five tackles.

Sachem East 48, Central Islip 14: Jake Kelleher racked up 172 yards and two touchdowns on 14 carries to lead Sachem East (2-4). He broke away for a 62-yard touchdown run in the first quarter to give Sachem East a 10-0 lead. Kelleher followed that up with a 3-yard rushing TD. Brendan Ryan had an 18-yard passing touchdown, 75 rushing yards and a rushing TD on five carries. He also had an interception.

Northport 35, Bay Shore 14: Ryan Walsh completed 10 of 11 passes for 242 yards and three touchdowns to lead Northport (3-3). Frankie Stola caught five passes for 173 yards and two touchdowns, ran six times for 36 yards and a touchdown and led the defense with eight tackles.
