Suffolk III roundup: Islip holds on to top Bellport

Kieran Mullins scored on a 24-yard run in the second quarter to give Islip a 28-point lead en route to a 28-27 win over Bellport in a Suffolk III football game Saturday. Mullins also threw a touchdown pass for Islip (1-5). Bellport is 3-3.

Harborfields 21, Rocky Point 20: Junior Andrew Widmer was 19-for-34 passing for a career-high 271 yards and Tyler Phillips kicked a 31-yard field goal with 4:21 left to win it for Harborfields. Anthony Fresolo blocked a field goal with 1:27 left for Harborfields (2-4). Fresolo had 103 yards and two TDs on 12 carries. Rocky Point is 1-5.Comsewogue 14, Huntington 10: Ryan Keefe ran for 60 yards on 11 carries and scored his second TD early in the fourth quarter on a 42-yard run to lead Comsewogue (2-4). Huntington is 4-2.Eastport-South Manor 20, Hauppauge 14: After stopping Hauppauge at the goal line on its only overtime possession, Eastport-South Manor (2-4) scored on an 11-yard halfback pass from Matt Prokesch to quarterback Austin Macchi on fourth down. Mike Bianco led ESM with 18 tackles. Hauppauge is 2-4.

Westhampton 24, Amityville 22: Jack Murphy connected with Evan Gagne on a 16-yard pass on fourth-and-10 from the Amityville 21 with five minutes remaining to help set up Murphy's 1-yard TD run two plays later for Westhampton (4-2). Amityville is 4-2.

Kings Park 14, Deer Park 6: Joe Guercio had 141 rushing yards and he passed for two TDs for Kings Park (5-1). Tom Milich had 149 yards on 24 carries in the win. Deer Park is 1-5.
