Christian McPartland connected with Anthony Seymour for a 24-yard pass on third down to put Miller Place (2-0) at the 1-yard line, and Tyler Ammirato ran in the last of his three touchdowns with four minutes left for a 32-28 win over Glenn in a Suffolk IV football game on Friday. Ammirato had 111 rushing yards on 24 carries. McPartland had 197 passing yards. Eric Cisneros caught a TD and had 110 receiving yards. Shane White had 11 tackles and Alex Herbst had five tackles, two sacks and a fumble recovery.
Wyandanch 28, Hampton Bays 12: Allon Littlejohn caught a 50-yard touchdown pass and two two-point conversions to power Wyandanch Friday. It’s the first time since 1987 that Wyandanch has started 2-0, coach Dwight Singleton said. Alexander Odle completed 8 of 12 passes for 237 yards. Christian Flowers had 120 yards and a touchdown. Jayvon Smith had five sacks.
Mt. Sinai 32, Port Jefferson 12: Mike Carniero had 128 yards and a TD on 11 carries to lead Mt. Sinai (1-1) Friday. Mt. Sinai got off to a 12-0 start in the first quarter thanks to a 25-yard rushing touchdown by Carniero and a 10-yard rushing TD from Mike Sabello. Mt. Sinai entered the half with a 26-0 lead.
Southampton/Pierson 7, East Hampton/Bridgehampton 6: Shaundell Crumpton had seven tackles and forced a fumble with 30 seconds left, preventing a potential go-ahead score, to seal the win for the Mariners (1-1) in Suffolk IV Friday. Adonis Hutchins had 36 yards and a TD on four carries.
Greenport/Southold/Mattituck 38, Center Moriches 14: Jake Skrezec rushed for 112 yards on three carries to lead Greenport/Southold/Mattituck (2-0) Friday. Keegan Syron jump-started the Porters with a 70-yard touchdown run in the first quarter. After his score, Kyle Schultz recorded back-to-back safeties. Sean Sepnoski’s 3-yard run pushed the score to 18-0 in the second quarter. Syron ran for 197 yards on 10 carries.
Bayport-Blue Point 42, Mercy 0: Vin Grazedei completed 6 of 11 passes for 60 yards and a TD while also rushing for 70 yards on nine carries with one score to lead Bayport-Blue Point (1-1) Friday.
