Suffolk IV football roundup

Peter Noonan had 13 tackles, a sack and a forced fumble and recovery to lead No. 4 Glenn to a 21-6 win over No. 5 Mount Sinai Saturday in a Suffolk IV quarterfinal.

Noonan’s strip and recovery in the third quarter led to Nathaniel Larkins’ 3-yard touchdown run to put Glenn ahead 14-6. Matt Tufano caught five passes for 87 yards and also kicked three extra points. Glenn will play No. 1 Babylon in the semifinals.

Babylon 44, Wyandanch 0: Scott Sasso rushed for 124 yards and two touchdowns on nine carries to lead No. 1 Babylon (9-0). Kenny Rohl blocked a punt and recovered the ball in the end zone for a touchdown to put Babylon up 37-0 in the first half.

Chris Costanzo added five carries for 45 yards and a touchdown. Joe Rende had 78 yards and a touchdown on eight carries. Shaun Kaminsky and Frankie Vano each had two interceptions and Zach Amelia added another. DiPalma and Chris Botto each contributed six tackles.

Shoreham-Wading River 35, Hampton Bays 7: Chris Gray had three carries for 81 yards and two touchdowns, leading No. 2 Shoreham-Wading River (7-2). Kyle Bowden had three carries for 35 yards and a touchdown. Kevin Cutinella completed both of his passes for 53 yards and two touchdowns. Chris Sheehan, Logan Synder, Ryan Mullahey each had a sack. The Wildcats will host No. 3 Miller Place Friday in the semifinals.

Miller Place 42, Port Jefferson 12: Tyler Ammirato rushed 14 times for 110 yards and three touchdowns to lead No. 3 Miller Place (7-2). Kevin Gersbeck added two receptions for 136 yards and two touchdowns and Coleton Reitan completed one pass for 70 yards and a touchdown. Anthony Seymour completed 2 of 6 passes for 87 yards and a touchdown and also had a 15-yard touchdown run. Shane White, Joe Filipetti and Ammirato each had five tackles. White also contributed an interception.
