Ames beats 2nd-OT buzzer to lift Lindenhurst

Colleen Ames (12 points) hit a 15-footer as time expired in the second overtime to give Lindenhurst a 56-55 win over Floyd in League I girls basketball Tuesday.

Floyd forced a second overtime when Octavia Williams banked a three at the end of the first OT. Val Oyakilome led Lindenhurst with 22 points and 18 rebounds.

Deer Park 48, Comsewogue 45: Shayna Robinson (11 points) hit two free throws with 18 seconds left to give Deer Park a 47-45 lead in League V. Trailing 45-40 with 1:07 left, Andrea Desvignes (17 points) hit two free throws and Felicia Lasorsa (nine points) hit a three to tie the score at 45 for Deer Park.

Massapequa 64, Uniondale 55: Danielle Doherty scored nine of her 22 points in overtime for Massapequa in Conference AA-I. Doherty hit a three-pointer with 12 seconds left to tie it at 55 and force overtime. Nicole Scicutella scored 18 points for the Chiefs. Myajha Elston's 15 points led Uniondale.

Herricks 35, Port Washington 33: Allison Ricchiuti scored the final seven points, including the winner from 12 feet with six seconds left, for Herricks in Nassau Conference AA-II. Marissa DiRienzo had 12 points for Herricks.Friends Academy 52, Oyster Bay 48: Marissa Reyes scored 11 of her 15 points during a 41-18 second half as Friends Academy (Nassau Conference BC) overcame a 19-point halftime deficit. Rose Mangiarotti had all of her 13 points in the second half for the Quakers, who took their first lead at 50-48 with a minute left.

New Hyde Park 52, Garden City 51: Ciara McCullagh's basket with 44 seconds left gave New Hyde Park a 52-51 lead in Conference A-I. McCullagh had 20 points and 12 rebounds, and Maria Katsoulis added 10 points and 16 rebounds.Great Neck North 50, Glen Cove 43: Talia Etessami had 15 points, 10 rebounds, seven assists and four steals to lead Great Neck North in Conference A-III. Jennifer Doppelt had 15 points, 10 rebounds and five blocks for Great Neck North.


Sachem East 3, Connetquot 0. Junior Matt Hecker was perfect for the first time as he bowled a 300 in Game 1 of a 686 series to lead Sachem East to a 1,159-890, 1,068-967, 1,062-912 win. Hecker bowled a 195 and 191 in Games 2 and 3. Jeremy Milito bowled a 709 series with a high Game 3 of 259, and Steve Sabella rolled 248 in Game 1 of a 693 series for Sachem East.


East Islip 3, West Babylon 0: Tara Ernst shot 234, 247 and 255 for a 736 series, Lena Sorrentino had a 233 in the first game of a 647 series and Nancy Baione bowled 225 in Game 1 of a 627 series to lead East Islip in a 1,119-664, 1,063-719, 1,018-626 win. Kelsey Fryer rolled 215 in Game 2 of a 610 series in the win.
