Glenn’s Allison McKenna (above) has missed the last two games with an injury to her right ankle. McKenna, one of the best public school players in Suffolk, is a near certain double-double every game and her absence creates a huge void on the inside for the Knights.

Glenn coach Andy Athanas said McKenna rolled her ankle last week, has been unable to practice this week and he is not sure how soon she’ll be able to return.

The Knights won both of their games this week without McKenna, at Bayport-Blue Point on Tuesday 52-34 and then against Shoreham-Wading River on Thursday 42-29. McKenna was on the bench Thursday and walked with a noticeable though not severe limp.

Athanas said he hopes his senior center will be able to play against Amityville on Tuesday but that more time may be required for her to be at full strength.
