Senior guards Bria Hartley (North Babylon) and Kristen Doherty (Sachem East) Tuesday were selected to play in the Nike WBCA High School All-Star girls basketball game.
The UConn-bound Hartley and the Boston College-bound Doherty are among 20 players selected by the Women's Basketball Coaches Association from across the country. The players will be divided into two teams of 10. The teams won't be set up by region.
The college-style regulation game will be played at 5:30 p.m. April 3 at the Alamodome in San Antonio, which is the venue of the women's NCAA Final Four.
Hartley is averaging 27 points, 8.3 rebounds, 5.5 steals and four assists. She has 1,824 career points.
Doherty is averaging 23 points, 8.3 rebounds, seven steals and 4.6 assists. She has 2,077 career points.
