Long Island Top 10 girls hoops rankings

1.      St. Anthony’s (5-1): The Friars defeated Our Lady of Mercy, 65-33. Sophomore Chastity Taylor had 21 points, seven rebounds, and five steals. Symone Kelly and Rebecca Musgrove didn’t play. The Friars will play three games in Cincinnati beginng Wednesday against DuPont Manuel, H.D. Woodson, and White Station.

2.      Long Island Lutheran (8-1): Paige Kriftcher scored 13 points and Yuni Sher added 10 points as the Crusaders defeated New Rochelle, 62-23.

3.      Sachem East (2-1): The Flaming Arrows defeated Ward Melville, 53-19. Meagan Doherty and Katie Doherty each scored 13 points. Ward Melville played without Caysea Cohen.

4.      St. John the Baptist (5-4): Anastasia Williams returned and had 16 points, 15 rebounds, and five steals. The Cougars play in the Diamond State Classic this week in Delaware.

5.      Holy Trinity (4-3): The Titans had the week off.

6.      Baldwin (3-0): Baldwin defeated East Meadow, 66-30. Chelsea May had 11 points and six rebounds and Alex Hampton had 12 points and five assists.

7.      Lindenhurst (3-0): Colleen Ames had 20 points, including six three-pointers and Shannon Crehan had 12 points, 10 rebounds, four assists, and four steals as Lindenhurst defeated Whitman, 59-42.

8.      North Babylon (1-2): The Bulldogs defeated Smithtown East, 56-21. Makeda Nicholas had 15 points and 13 rebounds and Brianna Jones had 15 points, 10 rebounds, and six assists.

9.      Sacred Heart (5-4): Sacred Heart had the week off.

10.  Glenn (5-0): The defending Suffolk Class A champions beat East Hampton, 55-25. Allison McKenna had 24 points and 13 rebounds.
