St. Anthony's enters into national rankings

With a 49-48 win over then-No. 2 Riverdale Baptist on Saturday at the Mecca Challenge in the Bronx, St. Anthony's is ranked nationally by ESPN in the HoopGurlz Fab 50. The Friars are ranked No. 48 with a mark of 17-4. USA Today has the Friars ranked No. 25 in the country.

Nazareth (Brooklyn), a team the Friars could play in the CHSAA state playoffs, are ranked No. 6 by HoopGurlz. The Friars lost to Nazareth in the state semifinals last season. Riverdale Baptist goes from No. 2 to No. 9. The only other loss this season for Riverdale Baptist was to No. 1 and undefeated St. Mary's of Arizona.

USA Today has Riverdale Baptist ranked No. 6 and Nazareth is No. 15.
