I'm Chris Mascaro and I'll be taking you through the last game of today's tripleheader.
Weather could be a factor in this one, so don't be surprised if there's a lightning delay.
This is the sixth straight season these teams have met for the Long Island title. Manhasset won the first two, but SWR, the three-time defending state Class C champion, has taken the last four.

The teams' only common opponent this season was Garden City, which beat SWR 20-8 on May 8, and handed Manhasset its lone loss a week prior, 19-9.
SWR, coached by Bob Vlahakis, is led by the three-headed monster of Kait Brosco (pictured), Jen DeVito and Chelsey Newman, who combined for all 15 goals plus six assists in the Wildcats' 15-10 win over Bayport-Blue Point on Wednesday night in the Suffolk final.
Halle Majorana (47 goals, 31 assists) and Kerri Fleishhacker (44, 11) pace the Indians, who are coached by Danielle Gallagher.
**UPDATE** (19:38 left in the first half): A fast start for SWR, without any contribution yet from the Brosco, DeVito, Newman trio. Codi Mullen scored the first goal unassisted 1:33 in, Kate Boden added another on an assist from Ali Davis a little over two minutes later, and then Megan Gersbeck scored on a feed from Kait Angerman to make it 3-0 SWR.
**UPDATE** (15:00 left in the half): Majorana is charging Manhasset back into this game. She scored while falling on a high, hard shot to put the Indians on the board with 17:24 left in the half. Then she assisted on Britten Reilly's goal at the 16:10 mark, and scored her second on a free position at the 15:00 mark. We're tied at 3.
**UPDATE** (9:00 left in the half): Majorana is on fire. She scored her third goal of the game after catching a high pass from Olivia Waters. She settled and fired a hard shot for Manhasset's fourth straight goal. They now lead 4-3.
SWR hasn't scored in over 10 minutes.
**UPDATE** (5:26 to go in the first half): Back come the Wildcats. Newman scored on a free position with 7:14 on the clock to tie it at 4, then Alyssa Pearce scored her ninth goal of the season on a sweet one-timer from Gersbeck at the 6:33 mark. Finally, Gersbeck scored off a Mullen assist to make it 6-4 SWR.
**UPDATE ** (halftime): Fleishhacker scored her first goal of the game on a free-position shot with 3:50 to play to pull Manhasset within one at 6-5.
Here are some halftime stats...

*Quick note, the weather seems to have passed to the north and it loks like we're in the clear.
**UPDATE** (18:41 left in the game): DeVito scored her first goal of the game off a free position with 22:22 left in the game, and then Brosco did the same at the 18:41 mark to give SWR an 8-5 lead, matching its largest of the game.
**UPDATE** (13:47 left): SWR is pouring it on now. Gersbeck scored her third of the game cutting across the middle to make it 9-5, and then Brosco added a free-position goal to make it 10-5.
**UPDATE** (12:59 to play): Fleishhacker's second goal of the game made it 10-6, and was Manhasset's first score since Fleishhacker's first goal 3:50 before halftime — a span of 15:04.
**UPDATE** (10:28 left): Davis (SWR) and Fleishhacker (Manhasset) traded goals and it's an 11-7 SWR lead with 10:28 left to play. Fleishhacker's goal was her third of the game.
**UPDATE** (1:30 remaining): Majorana scores her fourth goal of the game, but it appears to be too little, too late. She added another with 0.8 seconds left on the clock.
And that's the ballgame, as Shoreham-Wading River (17-2) holds on to win its fifth straight Long Island title, 11-9, behind three goals and one assist from Gersbeck and two goals from Brosco.
Majorana led Manhasset (16-2) with five goals.
SWR will play Honeoye Falls-Lima of Section V at 2:30 p.m. on Friday at SUNY Cortland in the state semifinals.
