Good evening lacrosse enthusiasts! I'm Chris Mascaro and I'm here live at the Dowling Sports Complex for the Suffolk Class C final between top-seeded Shoreham-Wading River (15-2) takes on No. 3 Bayport-Blue Point (9-7).

SWR, the No. 4 team in our Long Island rankings, has won the last six county titles (the last five coming against Mt. Sinai, who BBP knocked off in the semifinals). The Wildcats, the only Suffolk team to ever win a state title defeated BBP 16-12 on April 23 at home when these teams met in regular season.

SWR is coached by Bob Vlahakis and is led by All Americans Kait Brosco (52 goals, 30 assists) and Jen DeVito (58 goals, 23 assists), and Chelsey Newman (36, 24), who also mans the faceoffs. In net, Erin McMullan has made 129 saves on the season.

But the Wildcats' biggest asset is their depth. In their 19-7 semifinal win over No. 4 Babylon, 10 different players scored a goal.

As for the Phantoms, who are coached by Ryan Gick and are making their first county final appearance, their big player is junior Loren Generi, who has scored 58 goals with 17 assists on the year. She scored a game-high seven goals in BBP's 16-12 win over No. 3 Mt. Sinai in the semifinals last week, and reached the 200-goal mark for her career in the same game.

BBP also relies on goalie Catherine Werhle (112 saves), and Rachel O'Brien (37 goals, 11 assists)

**UPDATE** (haltime): At halftime, Shoreham-Wading River leads 9-5 behind four goals from Jen DeVito (pictured shooting) and three goals and two assists from Kait Brosco.

**UPDATE** (18:45 left in the second half): Two goals from Gen Stickney have given BBP new life, as they now only trail 9-7.

**UPDATE** (15:27 to play): Brosco put SWR back up by three on her fourth goal of the game, but Stickney scored her third goal with 15:27 left to make it 10-8 SWR.

**UPDATE** (13:41 to play): Chelsey Newman scores to give SWR some breathing room at 11-8.

***UPDATE*** (11:45 to play): Brosco scores her fifth goal of the game to equal SWR's biggest lead, 13-8.

***UPDATE*** (11:02 to play): Newman scores another and SWR has its largest lead of the night, 14-8.

**UPDATE*** (6:46 to play): Brittany Stucklen ends SWR's run. BBP trails 14-9.

***UPDATE (4:00): Loren Jeneri scores off a pass from Courtney Dooley. BBP back within four at 14-10.

***UPDATE (2:19): Brosco scores her sixth of the night. SWR leads 15-10.

It's the seventh straight county title for SWR.

SWR will play the winner of tomorrow's Manhasset/Cold Spring Harbor Nassau final at 5 p.m. on Sunday back at Dowling looking for its fourth straight Long Island Class C championship.
