Okay, folks. We're down to out last of three games here at SUNY Cortland, as Shoreham-Wading River (17-2) will take on Honeoye Fall-Lima of Section III (15-5) in the state Class C semifinals coming up in just a couple minutes.

But for now, let's get back to the Class C game. The Wildcats have won three straight Class C state titles, including a 13-11 win over HFL in last year's final.

On Sunday, SWR took out Manhasset 11-9 at the Dowling Sports Complex to win its fifth straight L.I. title. Megan Gersbeck scored three goals with one assist. She was one of eight different Wildcat scorers.

Kait Brosco (pictured, right), who scored two goals, leads the team with 93 points (60 goals, 33 assists). Jen DeVito leads the club with 63 goals on the season, while Chelsey Newman racked up 42 goals and 26 assists this season, and Erin McMullan has made 146 saves.

SWR has outscored its playoff opponents 47-26.

HFL, which is playing in its third straight state tournament, outscored its three playoff opponents 44-19, incuding an 18-6 drubbing of Amherst in the regional final on Saturday. The Cougars are led by midfielder Lindsay Powell, who will play with Brosco at Notre Dame next year, and sophomore goalie Nicole Derby.

The winner of this game will play the winner of Carthage (III) and Nyack (I), which is currently being played at Tompkins Cortland Community College. SWR defeated Carthage 21-11 in last year's state semifinal.
