O'Leary goal wins it for East Meadow

Jackie O'Leary scooped up a loose ball near the net and scored the winner with 11 seconds left to lift East Meadow over Hicksville, 14-13, Tuesday in non-league girls lacrosse.

Ryan Meyer (three goals) helped set up the shot by deflecting the goalie's clear. O'Leary had two goals and three assists, Jessica Widmann scored twice and Vanessa DePasquale made a season-high 21 saves for the Jets (4-6). Lindsey Rogers scored five goals for Hicksville.

Locust Valley 14, Friends Academy 11: Bairre Reilly had six goals and an assist to lead Locust Valley (3-2) in Conference C. Stephanie Lucidi had three goals and Julia Palermo two goals and five assists.

Seaford 14, Clarke 9: Amelia Taylor had five goals and four assists and Emma Schait three goals and three assists for Seaford (5-2) in Conference C.

Sayville 16, Harborfields 15: Connie Neilsen's third goal, with 3:26 left, gave Sayville (7-2) a 16-14 lead in Division II. Emily Meier had four goals and two assists and Madison Hoon added three goals and an assist. Kasey Stolba had four goals and three assists for Harborfields.


Bay Shore 6, Hills East 5: Max Sheets' second goal, with 9:44 left, gave Bay Shore a 6-4 lead in Division I. John Flood made eight saves for the Marauders (4-3).

Bayport-Blue Point 13, Hauppauge 11: Mike DeBlasio and Frank Gluchoski each scored three goals to lead Bayport-Blue Point (6-1) in Division II.

Chaminade 7, Fairfield (Conn.) Prep 6: Walter Rooney had two goals including the game-winner with 3:19 left and John Connors made 11 saves for Chaminade (7-1) in non-league.
