Kait Brosco and Jen DeVito, Shoreham-Wading River's first-team All Americans, finished their high school careers as four-time state Class C champions, so they're used to coming up big in close games.

Saturday at Towson they did it again.

DeVito scored the game-winner with nine seconds to play and Brosco (pictured) scored a game-high six goals as the North team defeated the South 17-16 in the Under Armour All-America Lacrosse Classic.

Brosco, who actually came into the game as a substitute, scored four of her six goals in the first half, including one on a feed from DeVito that pulled the North within one at 8-7 2:56 before halftime.

Brosco's six goals are a single-game record for the Classic, and she did it on only eight shots. She was named game MVP, becoming the second straight SWR player to win the award after Stephanie Anderson earned it last season.

Kara Mupo of Rocky Point (pictured covering Brosco in a game earlier this year) was second on the North team with four goals. She scored three straight in a span of 4:08 midway through the second half to turn a 13-12 North deficit into a 14-13 lead.

DeVito and Garden City's Shannon Mangini each added a goal and an assist, and West Islip goalie Alyssa Costantino made seven second-half saves to earn the win.
