Former Bay Shore star Jasmyne Spencer was selected by the Philadelphia independence in with the third pick in the fourth round (21st overall) in the Women's Professional Soccer draft.
"I'm just so happy for Jasmyne," Maryland head soccer coach Brian Pensky said in a team press release. "She loves the game and it means the world to her. There's no question she's going to make the most of this opportunity."
Spencer is one of just five players in Maryland history to be named to the All-ACC team three times. She ranks among the top 10 in career goals, points, game-winning goals and shots as a Terrapin.
