Cortney Fortunato scored three times, with her third goal coming late in the fourth as Northport topped Lindenhurst, 3-1, Saturday in Suffolk League II girls soccer.

Fortunato's second goal, five minutes into the second, gave Northport a 2-0 lead, while her third with 3:50 left provided the final margin. Northport (8-1-2) moved into a tie for first place in League II with Lindenhurst (8-1-2). Both teams have one game remaining.

Commack 3, Sachem East 2: Erin Neville scored all three goals for Commack (8-4) in Division I. The winner came on a free kick with 4:43 left in the game. She tied the score with 5:55 left in the second. St. John the Baptist wins. Paolo Fiore finished sixth in 16:19 as St. John the Baptist took first place in the varsity large schools race at the Brown Invitational in Warwick, R.I. SJB won with 90 points and Sachem East finished second with 150 points.

Udvadia leads SWR. Ryan Udvadia finished first in 15:51 in the 5k Varsity Division I race at the Brown Invitational. SWR finished with 91 points.Girls cross country

Bay Shore takes 2nd.Jasmine Reyes took ninth in the 5,000 meters in a time of 19:33.9 as Bay Shore placed second in the Varsity II race with 142 points at the Brown Invitational at Goddard Park in Warwick, R.I.
