Friends Academy (12-0-2) and Hoosick Falls (20-1-2) played to a scoreless tie in the Class C state championship and were named co-champions this morning at Homer HS. More on this game will come later.

Second Overtime:

Hoosick Falls getting some pressure on the Friends defense in the early going of this overtime. Largely uneventful period. Lots of kick-and-chase because players have no legs left.

First Overtime:

Friends manages three shots on goal but none were difficult. Iordanou almost certainly out of this one.

There is no overstating what the loss of Iordanou means to Friends, especially in overtime. If the collision is as bad as it looked she won't return.

15:00 Friends has another SOG from insie the 18 but Hannah Fricke makes her 10th save.

18:13: Second half is more physical so far, as many fouls in 20 minutes as first 40.

Friends still controlling the game but Hoosick has managed to cross the 50 a few times, which did not happen in the first half

Friends wills play with the wind and sun in the second half and now the sun is peaking out so it could come into play. Friends Academy controlling tempo but has yet to score. Hoosick Falls forward Jordyn Haynes has been swallowed up by Quakers defense and she is a very real threat. In response, Hoosick Falls moved Meg Mckee up from the midfield to provide size and draw some attention away from Haynes.

In-game adjustment by Hoosick Falls. Meg Mckee slides u from the midfield to the forward spot. Mckee is a very tall and the Panthers other forwards are very under sized.

18:00 Jordyn Haynes gets a break down the right side for Hoosick Falls but Friends Academy defense swallows her up. This eighth grader is a quick forward and the Penthers No. 1 weapon.

33:00 Friends Academy getting the better of the action so far, taking a lot of shots. Two shots over the net, one wide, one post and two on goal.
