The talent and athleticism is plentiful in Nassau, making final selections quite difficult but alas we can unveil Nassau's Dream Team.

Last week we released the Suffolk Dream Team which can be seen here.

Like the Suffolk squad, the selections for Nassau incorporate all four classes and are based on position, a myriad of factors (statistics, input from coaches, scouting ranks) and ultimately one man's opinion.


Jill Mulholland, MacArthur – A second team All-State selection in 2010, Mulholland started the season with a three-point game (two goals, one assist) against East Meadow and scored in a 2-0 win against Oceanside.

Olivia Czavar, West Hempstead – Czavar started her 2011 campaign off strong with a 4-point game against Oyster Bay. She was a second team All-State selection in 2010 (24 goals and four assists).

Allison Merrill, Island Trees – A fourth team All-State selection in 2010 (10 goals, two assists), Merrill has six points (four goals, two assists) in five games and Island Trees is 4-0 when she registers a point.

Honorable Mention: Teressa Fazio of Cold Spring Harbor, Kayla Cappuzzo of Calhoun, Taylor Kugler of Massapequa, Christie DeMarco of Valley Stream South


Rosie DiMartino, Massapequa – (pictured above) Rated the No. 2 prospect in the state and 38 nationally in the class of ’13 by The youngest DiMartino sister has scored in all three games this season, accumulating six points (five goals, one assist).

Christina Klaum, South Side – The No. 8 prospect in NY’s class of ’14 by TopDrawer, Klaum scored in a 3-0 win over Seaford.

Kelly Kempf, MacArthur– Kempf was a fourth team All-State selection in 2010 with four goals and seven assists.

Krystina Iordanou, Friends Academy – No. 8 prospect in the class of ’13, the junior was named second team All-State in 2010 after a 13 goal, four assist season.

Honorable Mention: Jessica Stein of Garden City


Erica Sousa, Carey – The Rutgers commit is rated the No. 2 prospect in NY and 49 nationally. Sousa has scored in both of Carey’s games.

Sam Ford, South Side – Ford was a fourth team All-State selection in 2010.

Julie Beyar, South Side – Beyar was a second team All-State selection in 2010. The South Side senior duo leads a defense which has held opponents to one goal in three games this season.

Honorable Mention: Nicole Epstein of Massapequa


Emmalee Meyer, Massapequa – The Massapequa junior has posted two shutouts thus far.

Honorable Mention: Christina Mangels of Garden City
