CORTLAND, N.Y. -- Smithtown West’s historical girls soccer season came to an end Saturday in the state semifinals.

The Bulls, advancing to state for the first time in school history, lost to Monroe-Woodbury, 1-0, in the Class AA state semifinals at Tompkins Cortland Community College. Monroe's Elizabeth Allen scored with 2:28 left in a snowy game. Smithtown West finished  15-2-3.
