Goalkeeper: Danielle Bambola (Defense has 7 shutouts)
Record last five games: 4-1
Record vs. playoff teams: 4-4
Wins/ties of note: Only Class A team to have a lead over Sayville, counts for something
Postseason Concern: Won the games they should have won but lost both games to Sayville and both non-league games.

Record last five games: 3-2
Record vs. playoff teams: 3-4
Wins/ties of note: Beat Bayport-Blue Point 1-0
Postseason Concern: SWR is my sleeper team but they can’t take Harborfields lightly. Records are very deceiving at this time of year.

Harborfields
Top scorers: Marissa Benson (3 goals), Emily Hahm (2 goals, 1 assist), Caroline Wallace (2 goals)
Goalkeeper: Morgan Krush (Defense has two shutouts)
Record last five games: 1-4
Record vs. playoff teams: 3-6
Wins/ties of note: Went 3-0 against Class A playoff teams, swept Islip and beat Miller Place.
Postseason Concern: Only 13 goals scored this season playing primarily against AA teams. Will it be easier for them to find the back of the net in the Class A playoffs?

No. 7 Mt. Sinai (9-4-2, 9-4-1 League VII)

Record last five games: 5-0
Record vs. playoff teams: 6-4
Wins/ties of note: Last two games of regular season, beat Center Moriches 1-0 and SWR 2-1.
Postseason Concern: Can they beat Sayville?

Goalkeeper: Kasey Mitchell (Defense has eight shutouts)
Record last five games: 3-2
Record vs. playoff teams: 3-4-2
Wins/ties of note: Scoreless draw against Center Moriches, beat SWR 3-2.
Postseason Concern: Swept by Bayport in the season series, will the third time be a charm for the young Mustangs?

COUNTY CHAMPIONSHIP PREDICTION:

No surprises on which teams make it.  I have the top two seeds, Sayville and Bayport-Blue Point squaring off.  Both are deep, well-rounded teams built for postseason success.  Sayville, the defending county champs, was in a league of their own in League VI.  They beat teams they should have beat and did so convincingly, outscoring opponents 73-6.  Bayport's record and margin of victory may not be as impressive but I think Phantoms have benefited from playing against the likes of Center Moriches, SWR, Mt. Sinai and Mattituck in a more competitve League VII. It won't be easy by any means, but Raber, Copping and Heyder help hand Sayville its first loss to take the county title: BAYPORT-BLUE POINT 2, SAYVILLE 1, OT
