1. ST. ANTHONY’S (10-1)
CHSFL AAA CHAMPION
Quarterback Dante Torres had 509 all-purpose yards in a 50-18 win over Iona Prep to capture the CHSFL AAA title. Junior wide receiver Korey Duff Jr. had four touchdown receptions and finished with seven catches for 205 yards. This was a CHSFL record 15th title for the Friars, who play St. Francis of Buffalo for the state crown Wednesday.
2. GARDEN CITY (12-0)
LI CLASS II CHAMPION
The Trojans’ machine rolls on. Garden City extended its winning streak to 30 games with a 28-0 shutout over Bellport to capture its second straight LI Class II crown. It was the school’s 10th LIC title. Senior halfback Stevie Finnell rushed for 346 yards and all four touchdowns in the win.
3. FARMINGDALE (12-0)
LI CLASS I CHAMPION
The Dalers earned the Long Island Class I championship with a 42-20 win over Ward Melville. Halfback Tomaso Ramos scored four touchdowns and set an LIC record with 437 all-purpose yards. It was Farmingdale’s second LIC win.
4. SAYVILLE (12-0)
LI CLASS III CHAMPION
The Golden Flashes won the Long Island Class III title for the seventh time with a thorough 33-7 win over the two-time defending champion from Plainedge. QB Jake Tripptree threw for two touchdowns and Kyle Messina ran for two more. Luke Hansen opened the game with a 94-yard kickoff return for a score.
5. BAYPORT-BLUE POINT (11-0)
LI CLASS IV CHAMPION
The Phantoms, making their first appearance in the LIC, captured the school’s first LI Class IV championship with a 35-7 win over the defending champion from North Shore. QB Brady Clark threw for two touchdowns and ran for two more.
6. CHAMINADE (5-5)
The Flyers battled in the most competitive division in the state. The hard-hitting Flyers defense was led by one of Long Island’s top linebacking trios in Charles Battaglia, Matt Rappa and Ben Mann.
7. HOLY TRINITY (9-1)
CHSFL AA-1 CHAMPION
The Titans continue to climb through the ranks of the CHSFL. They earned the Class AA-1 title with a 20-14 win over Moore Catholic. The Titans' lone loss came against Chaminade. Jameer Reeder’s 61-yard TD run proved to be the difference. They step up in competition to AAA in 2023 – a very big hill to climb.
8. PLAINEDGE (11-1)
The Red Devils had another dominant season behind middle linebacker Shane Mosia. They won two straight Long Island Class III titles before watching their 23-game winning streak halted in a 33-7 loss to Sayville in the Class III final.
9. WARD MELVILLE (8-4)
The Patriots went on a brilliant playoff run with wins over previously undefeated Floyd and Longwood to reach the school’s first LIC. They’ve been on the cusp of a title for years and finally broke through.
10. FLOYD (9-1)
They were stunned in the Suffolk Division I semifinal by Ward Melville, 14-7.
11. MASSAPEQUA (8-3)
The defending Long Island Class I champions were beaten by Farmingdale in the Nassau Conference I final, 38-7.
