1. MASSAPEQUA GIRLS SOCCER

The defending state champions defeated Port Washington, 3-0, in their only game of the week to remain unbeaten in Conference AA-I. Meghan McCabe's header off a throw-in opened the scoring, and Cara Gallagher made eight saves in the shutout. The Chiefs (9-1-1) take on unbeaten St. Anthony's in a non-league showdown on Saturday.

2. SACHEM EAST FIELD HOCKEY

The Flaming Arrows (11-0) added three wins last week and, as the regular season winds down, have all but secured the top seed in Suffolk Class A. Sachem East hasn't lost to a Long Island opponent since October 2011, and they're 51-1 overall in the last three years.

3. MASSAPEQUA BOYS SOCCER

In a rematch of last year's county final, the Chiefs (12-0-1) defeated Syosset, 7-0, last Friday night. Andrew Prendergast and Peter Meyer lead the team with 10 points each.

4. LONGWOOD FOOTBALL

The Lions edged previously top-ranked Connetquot, 14-13, on the strength of a 273-yard rushing performance by halfback Isaiah White. The Lions dominated on the lines, but three turnovers, including two fumbles inside the Connetquot 1-yard-line, kept the T-Birds in the game. Longwood improved to 5-0.

5. KINGS PARK GIRLS VOLLEYBALL

They've continued to march relatively unimpeded, extending their league win streak to 57 matches. Kings Park (10-0) added two more victories last week, including a 3-1 win over second-place Islip in which Stephanie Cornwell had 37 assists and Kathleen Benson 13 kills.

6. SAYVILLE FOOTBALL

Sophomore quarterback Jack Coan has 21 touchdown passes and the Golden Flashes are off to a 5-0 start. He is on pace to shatter the Long Island single-season record of 38 passing touchdowns set by Joe Capobianco of Lawrence in 2012.

7. ST. ANTHONY'S BOYS CROSS COUNTRY

The Friars showed they are ready for a strong postseason run by dominating the St. Anthony's Invitational at Sunken Meadow earlier this month. St. Anthony's racked up 26 points, 63 fewer than second-place Commack. Joseph Tucker, the highest Friars finisher, was third in 16:56.41.

8. SACHEM NORTH BOYS VOLLEYBALL

Dylan Missry had 17 kills, three blocks, three aces and five digs in a 25-8, 25-16, 25-15 win over Bay Shore last Wednesday. Rob Steinberg added 32 assists for Sachem North (9-0), which has not dropped a set this season.

9. HALF HOLLOW HILLS EAST GIRLS TENNIS

The defending Suffolk champions capped another undefeated regular season with a 5-2 win over rival Hills West last Wednesday. Gabrielle Raziel's win at third singles was key.

10. ST. ANTHONY'S GIRLS SOCCER

Francesca Venezia scored twice in a 7-1 win over St. Dominic and Kayla Arestivo had two goals in a 3-0 win over St. Francis Prep as the Friars improved to 13-0. They've outscored opponents 60-4.
