Jackie Oleksak hit a two-out, bases-clearing double in the sixth for Plainedge, which plays No. 3 Floral Park at 4 p.m. Thursday at Mitchel Athletic Complex.
East Meadow 1, Mepham 0: Claire Travis led off the bottom of the ninth with a single, advanced to third on Emma McKillop's single and scored on a wild pitch to give No. 2 East Meadow (13-7) the win over No. 7 Mepham in the Nassau Class AA quarterfinals. East Meadow will face No. 3 Massapequa at 4 p.m. Thursday at Mitchel.
Long Beach 7, Oceanside 4: Brianna Rivera's RBI single broke a tie at 4 to highlight a five-run top of the seventh for No. 5 Long Beach (12-8) in a Nassau Class AA quarterfinal. Long Beach will play No. 1 MacArthur in the semis at 4 p.m. Thursday at Mitchel.
Bayport-Blue Point 8, Mattituck 0: Junior Kathleen Bailey threw her first career no-hitter with six strikeouts and one walk to lead Bayport-Blue Point (12-3) in League VII. Bailey, who has pitched every game for BBP this year, also went 2-for-4 with an RBI.
Holy Trinity 11, St. Mary's 0: Senior Alex Robinson pitched his fourth career no-hitter, with two walks and a career-high 19 strikeouts for Holy Trinity (10-1) in CHSAA. Robinson struck out the side five out of the seven innings.
Island Trees 4, Division 3: Steve Connelly hit an eighth-inning, walk-off single with the bases loaded to drive in pinch runner Rocco Privitera and lead No. 8 Island Trees (14-5-2) over No. 10 Division in the second round of the Nassau Class A playoffs. Mike Jeannetti (3-for-4) hit a two-run home run with one out in the bottom of the sixth to tie the game at 3. Island Trees advances to the best-of-three quarterfinals.
Garden City 3, Lynbrook 1: Andrew LoBasso hit a walk-off, two-run homer in the seventh and Kyle Ritchie threw a four-hitter with seven strikeouts for No. 7 Garden City (14-7) in the second round of the Nassau Class A playoffs.
Lynbrook 9, Division 7: Mary Kate Regan scored with :32 left in the first overtime to break a tie at 7 for No. 8 Lynbrook (6-8) in the first round of the Nassau Class B playoffs. Chandley Borges scored with 1:22 left in the second OT to seal it for Lynbrook, which plays at No. 1 Garden City at 4:30 p.m. Thursday.
