Rollins' shot, block in final seconds lift Brentwood

Michael Rollins, who is lefthanded, hit a righthanded leaner in the lane with 6.8 seconds remaining to give Brentwood (7-2) a 49-48 victory over Uniondale Wednesday in the final of the Brentwood Holiday Tournament. Rollins then blocked a three-point attempt to seal the win. Rollins had 11 points, 23 rebounds and six blocks and was named tournament MVP. Brandon Smith added 19 points and 13 rebounds for the Indians.Shoreham-Wading River 61, Sayville 48: Junior Kevin David scored a career-high 27 points and Neil Fishenden added 19 points for Shoreham-Wading River (3-3). It was the 150th victory for coach Kevin Culhane.

Southold 37, Hampton Bays 36:Jon Cepelak hit a layup with 3:02 remaining to give Southold (6-0) its first lead, 31-30, and the First Settlers held on to win the final of the Coaches vs. Cancer Classic at Hampton Bays. Cepelak, who was named tournament MVP, scored 13 of his 15 points in the second half and had 12 rebounds.

East Rockaway 57, Westhampton 42: Dylan Giliberti had 11 points and seven rebounds for East Rockaway (5-1) in the consolation game of the Hampton Bays Tournament. He was named to the all-tournament team. Joe Todero scored 16 of his 17 points during the first half.

Central Islip 50, East Islip 32: Reginald Augustus had 12 points and six assists to lead Central Islip (5-3) in non-league. Miles Neil scored eight of his 10 points during an 18-3 third quarter for Central Islip, which led by only a point at halftime. Justin Harley added eight points and eight rebounds. Cameron Cullen scored a game-high 13 points for East Islip.

Copiague 75, North Babylon 47: Senior Tyrek English scored a career-high 18 points and added 11 rebounds for Copiague (4-1) in the consolation game of the Brentwood Holiday Tournament. Nasha Smith, who was selected to the all-tournament team, added seven points and 16 assists.

Hempstead 58, Bay Shore 54: Jordan Parks had 28 points, 12 rebounds and three blocks to lead Hempstead (4-2) in non-league. Ismael Pierre added 13 points and five assists.

Sewanhaka 69, Island Trees 63: Junior Shella Adeniran scored a career-high 28 points and added 16 rebounds to lead Sewanhaka (4-3) in the consolation game of the Great Neck South Tournament. Sewanhaka trailed 43-26 with 5:00 remaining in the third quarter before Adeniran scored 16 of his points to lead the comeback. Dan Bartlett scored a game-high 35 points and hit 11 three-pointers for Island Trees.

Plainedge 38, Friends Academy 33: Will Crapo had 14 points and nine rebounds to lead Plainedge in the consolation game of the Bethpage Tournament.

Lawrence 63, Roosevelt 46: Freshman Eddie Robinson scored a career-high 27 points and added seven assists to lead Lawrence (2-5) in the consolation game of the Baldwin Tournament. Robinson was named to the all-tournament team.

Kellenberg 76, Oyster Bay 53: Chris Pisciotta, who was named all-tournament, had 19 points, 13 rebounds and eight assists to lead Kellenberg (3-5) in the consolation game of the South Side Tournament. Tom Madelmayer added 12 points and four assists.

Cold Spring Harbor 46, Wheatley 34: Kevin Porzelt had 10 points, seven rebounds and six assists to lead Cold Spring Harbor (4-3) in non-league. The Seahawks outscored Wheatley 14-1 in the fourth quarter.

Bellmore JFK 51, Division 46: Brendan Mills had 13 points and 10 rebounds, Joey Karo had 15 points and Steven Katz had seven points and eight rebounds for Bellmore JFK (4-2) in non-league.

Valley Stream North 54, Wantagh 41: David Nelson and Alington Paul each scored 14 points and Curtis Mensah added 11 for Valley Stream North (5-2) in non-league.

Hicksville 51, Bethpage 34: Uche Ogbonna had 22 points and John Petrucelli had 17 points, four assists and four rebounds to lead Hicksville (5-2) in the final of the Bethpage Dad's Club Tournament.
