Schweigert's goal wins it for West Babylon

Andrew Schweigert scored the tying goal with one minute remaining, then scored the winner with nine seconds left to lead West Babylon to a 15-14 win over North Babylon Thursday in a Suffolk Division I boys lacrosse game. Schweigert finished with three goals and Justin Fitzpatrick added four goals and three assists for WB (5-2). North Babylon's Ryan Slane had four goals and four assists and Matt Beccaris had four goals and two assists.

Bay Shore 15, Smithtown East 7: Senior Griffin Rock scored a career-high eight goals and added an assist to lead Bay Shore (6-1) in Division I.Ward Melville 14, Sachem North 7: Jimmy Coughlan had three goals and one assist to lead Ward Melville (6-1) in Division I.

Half Hollow Hills East 12, Whitman 6: Junior Jesse Barker scored a career-high seven goals to lead Hills East (6-4, 4-3) in Division I.

Baldwin 7, Farmingdale 6: Tyler Warner's goal with 1:31 left broke a tie at 6 as Baldwin (4-0) scored the game's final six goals for the comeback win in Nassau Conference A. Pat Hannon's second goal of the game tied it at 6 with 2:42 left. Matt Hayes was 11 of 14 on faceoffs and won the last nine.

Massapequa 14, Syosset 8: Ian Kirby and Dan Muller each scored four goals to lead Massapequa (4-0) in Conference A.St. John the Baptist 10, Kellenberg 5: Tim Nowak had five goals and an assist for St. John the Baptist (2-1) in CHSAA.GIRLS LACROSSE

Amanda Riekert had 11 saves, including a point-blank stop with 40 seconds left.East Hampton 17, Islip 7: Freshman Cassidy Walsh scored a career-high six goals for East Hampton (5-2) in Division II. Carley Seekamp added five goals and an assist.Bayport-Blue Point 6, Harborfields 5: Kerrigan Miller scored with 6:19 left to put BBP (2-5) up 6-4 in Division II. Rachel O'Brien scored four goals, and Kaitlyn Leahy had 14 saves.West Hempstead 13, Elmont 10: Kelly Walsh scored six goals and Erin Guerrero added four goals to lead West Hempstead (3-3) in Conference V.
