This Week's Softball Top 10

1. Bay Shore (14-0)
The Marauders appear unstoppable. They’re undefeated and have now outscored opponents 154-8, having had shutouts in 11 of their 14 games. This week alone, Bay Shore outscored Ward Melville, Patchogue-Medford and Connetquot 47-1. Connetquot, for its part, has scored on Bay Shore twice this year (four runs on April 10 and one on April 29), though to no avail.

2. East Meadow (11-1)
East Meadow stumbled for the first time last Wednesday, suffering a 2-0 loss to Long Beach. The Jets were able to rebound with a 2-0 win over Farmingdale in which Lindsay McKillop pitched a three-hitter with 15 strikeouts and drove in both runs.

3. Commack (13-1)
Once again proved that it is the dominant force with a 10-1win over Sachem North in a League I/II crossover on Saturday.

4. East Islip (12-1)
The Redmen suffered their first loss of the year to Smithtown West on April 24, but bounced back with impressive wins over Deer Park and Newfield.
5. Seaford (15-1)
The Vikings’ early-season loss to Plainedge was the only blemish on their record and they avenged that with a 7-0 win on Thursday in which Erika Nogan pitched a one-hitter. She threw another one-hitter the next day in a 10-0 win over Sewanhaka.

6. Hauppauge (13-0)
The Eagles beat Harborfields and Smithtown East this week to remain undefeated.

7. Long Beach (12-4)
After an impressive victory over East Meadow last Wednesday, the Marines sandwiched a win over Massapequa with losses to MacArthur and Mepham.

8. Sachem East (9-4)
The Flaming Arrows dropped back-to-back games to Commack and Whitman last week.

9. Hicksville (13-3)
The Comets lost to Herricks on Wednesday, but rebound on Friday with a 15-6 win over Calhoun.
10. St. Anthony's (12-1)
The Friars have emerged as the dominant team in the CHSAA and proved so once more with a 5-2 victory against Holy Trinity on Wednesday and 2-1 win over Our Lady of Mercy on Thursday in which Michelle Carbone pitched a two-hitter with 13 strikeouts.
