Gaffey capped a shortened high school career — she's graduating a year early — with three state titles. She won the 50-free (23.49), was part of the first-place 200-medley relay (1:46.43) and swam the lead leg on the winning 200-freestyle relay (1:36.57). She also placed third in the 100 breaststroke (1:04.49).

Chan, who swims for Sewanhaka and attends New Hyde Park, won the 100-yard breaststroke (1:03.21) at the Public High School State Championships and placed second in the 200-IM (2:03.95). She won the 200-IM (2:03.10) and 100-breaststroke (1:03.60) at the Nassau Championships, both in county record times. She was also part of the winning 200-medley relay (1:51.28).

Honey placed second at the Federation State Championships in diving (501.10 points). But her big moment of the year came on Nov. 3 when she recorded a 543.10 total at the Nassau diving finals, finishing first and breaking the 20-year old county record. She scored more than 52 points in five of the dives and never scored below a 39.20.

Hetzer was part of two state championship relays, swimming the anchor leg on the 200-freestyle relay (1:36.57) and as part of the 200-medley relay (1:46.42). At the Suffolk Championships, she won the 200-IM (2:09.03) and 100-freestyle (53.63) and was part of the winning 200-medley relay (1:49.26) and 200-freestyle relay (1:37.23), both county record times.
