Ward Melville totaled 361.5 points to win the Suffolk County girls swimming championship at Suffolk Community College-Brentwood yesterday. Half Hollow Hills was second (236) and Harborfields third (229).

The winning Patriots swept the 200-yard medley relay and the 200 and 400 freestyle relays, and had two individual champions. Junior Cassandra Willie clocked 58.14 seconds in the 100 butterfly, and sophomore Casey Gavigan swam 58.17 in the 100 backstroke.

Northport senior Nicole Papsco and Babylon senior Julianne Koch were double winners: Papsco in the 200 individual medley (2:05.16) and 100 breaststroke (1:05.03), Koch in 200 free (1:52.76) and 100 free (52.55).
