It was another standout day for the St. Anthony's boys track team at the Armory Saturday.
Patrick Farmer, a week removed from setting the Suffolk record in the indoor 400 meters, was at it again as he set the county record in the 300, finishing first at the Stanner Games in a time of 34.22 seconds. Farmer topped the mark of 34.30 by Oliver Williams of Central Islip in 2002.
St. Anthony's Ken Walshak won the 3,200 meters with a time 9:30.27 and Payton Hazzard was third in the 600 in 1:22.84.
Patrick Murphy was third in the invitational mile in 4:20.93, and was a member of the St. Anthony's 1,600 relay team with Hazzard, Warner Cooley, Marc Saracino and Farmer, which finished in fourth with a time of 3:26.50.
SJB, Hills West, Smithtown West relays win.The St. John the Baptist boys also set a record as its 4 x 400-meter relay team of Michael DuPlessis, Joe Micheels, Hunter Burrell and Seitu Solomon won the relay at the Stanner Games in a school-best 3:26.19, Cougars coach David Wood said. The previous mark of 3:28.18 was established last year.
Half Hollow Hills West's boys 4 x 200-meter relay team of Damarr Aultmann, Justin Connor, Dan McCord and Abdias Mrytil finished first in 1:31.35. Hills West's Jerome Cole capped his team's day with a first-place finish in the 55-meter hurdles in 7.71.
Smithtown West's 4 x 800 -meter relay team of Kevin Harty, James Smak, Wesley Macker and Mike Emerson placed second in a school record time of 8:15.66.
