Commack's Lubman takes 55 and 300 meters

Commack's Colby Lubman was a double winner at the Molloy Stanner Games at the Armory Saturday as she edged Elmont's Valencia Hannon for a first-place finish in the 55 meters in 7.21 seconds and took first in the 300 in 40.09.

Other winners in girls events at the Stanner games were Harborfields sophomore Kelsey Margey, who won the girls invitational mile in 4:56.94, Kellenberg's Kim MacKay, who took the 1,000 in 2:57.72, Emily Marchini of Massapequa won the 1,600 in 5:17.86 and Northport eighth-grader Brigid Brennan, who finished first in the 3,000 (10:23.14).

Granata wins. MacArthur's Matt Granata was named Yale Champion and took first in the individual 400 meters with a time of 50.58.

WRESTLING

Central Islip 37, Mattituck 13: Defending 145-pound state champion Andy Rodriguez won by technical fall in 3:22 to lift Central Islip to the Colts Cup championship. Mike Figueroa won his first varsity match at 103 pounds by decision, 5-3.

Connetquot 34, Wantagh 32: Sean McCabe scored a 5-2 decision over Daniel McDevitt at 112 pounds as Connetquot clinched the Commack Dual meet championship.

Sayville 32, Eastport-South Manor 22: Sayville's John Albergo won by decision, 8-5, at 171 pounds and was named the team's most outstanding wrestler at the Bayport-Blue Point Duals.

Hauppauge 51, MacArthur 7: Anthony Bonaventura (152) defeated Tyler Dunne, 11-3, for Hauppauge (14-0) in the Farmingdale Dual meet final.

Northport 53, Half Hollow Hills East 12: Dan Romanczyk earned an 11-0 decision at 130 pounds for Northport at the Colts Cup. He was named team MVP after going 3-0 with two pins.

West Babylon 38, Bellmore JFK 28: Dominic Mantovani won a 6-3 decision at 160 pounds as West Babylon clinched first place at the Comsewogue Duals.

Mepham 33, Locust Valley 23: Mike Paccione's takedown at the buzzer earned him a 12-11 win over John Guerriero at 145 pounds for Mepham at the Bethpage Duals.

Bethpage 27, Baruch 6: Dom Aspesi defeated defending two-time PSAL champion Adonis Vasquez at 140 pounds by a score of 10-4 to lead Bethpage at the Bethpage Duals.

BOYS FENCING

Great Neck South 19, Wheatley 8: Zach Goodman and Ethan Levy went 3-0 in foil and Danny Qiao (2-0) and Stephen Ngo (3-0) were undefeated in epee for Great Neck South.

Oyster Bay 19, Great Neck North 8:Jack Greenfield and Andrew Stefano went 3-0 in epee for Oyster Bay in the Garden City Tri-Meet. GIRLS FENCING

Garden City 18, Great Neck North 9:Katheryn Montgomery, Jessica Lark and Kaitlin Sullivan each went 2-0 in sabre, and Liz Mallozzi was 2-0 in epee for Garden City at the Garden City Tri-Meet.Oyster Bay 16, Great Neck North 11:Courtney Collins went 3-0 in epee for Oyster Bay at the Garden City Tri-Meet.

Great Neck South 19, Wheatley 8:Julia Klepner went 3-0 in sabre for Great Neck South.

Great Neck South 22, Cold Spring Harbor 5:Julia Klepner was 2-0 in sabre, Roslyn Jin went 3-0 in foil and Lauren Mosco won her first varsity bout in epee for Great Neck South.Wheatley 16, Cold Spring Harbor 11:Hiba Khanzada and Sophie Wang each went 3-0 in foil to lead Wheatley.Huntington 18, Whitman 9: Olivia Weller and Alanna Tieman were 3-0 in epee and Alex Martinolich was 3-0 in foil for Huntington.Huntington 16, Centereach 11:Katia DeSimone was 3-0 in sabre and Olivia Weller went 3-0 in epee for Huntington.GIRLS GYMNASTICS

Plainview 158.25, Bethpage 153.45: Victoria Vitale led Plainview with a first-place finish on the vault with an 8.55. Erin Roach of Bethpage won the all-around with a 33.85.
