Gallagher showed both dominance and versatility this spring. She reinforced her middle distance talent with a Division I state championship in the 800, running a personal best two minutes, 9.22 seconds. She also showcased her 400-hurdle talent, winning the state championship in 1:01.47. The sophomore was a triple county champion. She won the Nassau A-II 400 hurdle championship in 66.57 seconds, the 400 championship in 56.17, and the 800 championship in 2:20.65. A week later, she set the tone for her state title with a 2:12.37 victory in the 800 and a 61.88 victory in the 400-hurdles at the Nassau state qualifier. Other victories this spring included a 1:04.43 in the 400-hurdles at the Bob Pratt Invitational. Toppin took home two championships at the Suffolk Division I meet. She won the long jump, skying 19 feet and one half of an inch and the triple jump, flying 38-4 1/2. Toppin finished second in the triple jump at the state championships, flying 38-4 3/4. Toppin took first at the Eddy Games in both the long (18-7 1/2) and triple jump (38-3).

Belot won three events at the CHSAA intersectional championships. She won the 100 hurdles in 15.09, the 400 hurdles in 1:06.66, and the triple jump, flying 36-7.

Brown, who will attend the University of Buffalo in the fall, won the 800 in 2:14.81 and the 1,500 in 4:41.79 at the CHSAA intersectional championships. She won the 3,000 in 10:27.72 in the Nassau-Suffolk CHSAA championships.

June won the 100 in 12.30 and the 200 in 25.08 at the CHSAA intersectional championships. She won the 100 in 12.35 and the 200 in 25.11 at the Nassau-Suffolk CHSAA championships.

Brown was at the helm for two Firebird CHSAA triumphs. Kellenberg won the NSCHSAA Championship on May 18, scoring 105.5 points. One week later, Brown's squad won the CHSAA Intersectional title, scoring 67 points. Both victories were dominant. They won the NSCHAA championship by 25 points and the Intersectional championship by 21 points.
