NOELLE MORRISON, WARD MELVILLE
Long Island Player of the Year
Setter, Senior

In her three years as the face of Ward Melville girls volleyball, senior setter Noelle Morrison hasn't missed a single varsity game. When as a sophomore she let the Patriots to a Suffolk title, it became clear that coach Charlie Fernandes had something special on his hands.

Wrapping up her senior campaign, Morrison hasn't disappointed. She finished her career as the all-time school leader in assists, with 2,141 - obliterating the old record by 573. In her senior year, she amassed 674 assists, 62 kills, 48 aces, 114 digs and 22 blocks. At least twice, she recorded more than 40 assists in one match. Together with outside hitter Haley Blunt, she led Ward Melville past long-time champion Massapequa and into the state tournament, where the Patriots finally fell in a tie-breaking game in pool play.

Morrison has a number of accolades to her name, including Rookie of the Year and Suffolk Coaches Player of the Year; she's also made the All County team three times and All State twice.
