The feat

Won the state title for the third year in a row with a 7-5 decision over Justis Flamio of Mahopac (Section I) at 125 pounds. He is the third wrestler from Nassau to win this many titles and also claimed the record for most consecutive wins in Nassau history with 123.

His history

Arujau won the state title at 125 pounds his junior and senior years with season records of 45-0 and 38-0, respectively. His sophomore year, he took home the state title at 112 pounds and as a freshman, he claimed second place at 103. He has won the Nassau title all four years and has a career record of 186-7.

What's next

Arujau will be attending American University on a full scholarship for wrestling. Before then, he has planned to wrestle in several tournaments in different states to stay in shape.
