Frisina's pin helps Syosset decision Uniondale

Chris Frisina pinned Adrian Berry in 1:46 in the 103-pound match for Syosset, which overcame a five-point deficit for a 30-29 win over Uniondale in Nassau Conference 1A wrestling last night. Tom Anderson won by decision, 6-3, at 160 pounds for the Braves.

Wantagh 58, Glen Cove 10: Matt Kaufmann won a 4-3 decision over Alexey Bogdanich at 145 pounds and Patrick Connolly won a 6-4 decision over Hector Paez in overtime at 130 to lead Wantagh.

Great Neck North 46, South Side 21: Josh Rismany sealed the win with a 7-5 decision over Ryan Nelson at 130 and Jacob Gohari won a 17-4 major decision over Brian Fiero at 125 pounds to lead North.

Mount Sinai 44, Miller Place 18: Joe Wittpen decisioned Chris Young, 11-9, at 145 pounds to lead Mt. Sinai.

Island Trees 27, North Shore 23: Oscar Albares secured the win for Island Trees with a 10-3 decision over Will Grogan.

Northport 41, Whitman 21: Freshman Nick Gallucci won a 3-2 decision in triple-overtime over Hakmat Naeemi at 103 pounds for his first varsity victory for Northport.

BOYS TRACK

St. Anthony's wins. Marc Saracino, Patrick Murphy, Brandon Keany and Payton Hazzard came in first in the 4 x 800-meter relay at the Millrose Time Trials with a time of 8:01.02.

David Bransfield, Quesnel Senatus, Jim Agati and Michael Cook led Kellenberg to a second-place finish in the 4 x 800 with a time of 8:03.06. Chaminade took third in 8:03.40.

In other Millrose trial events: Hills West took first in the Suffolk boys 4 x 400 in 3:26.36 and North Babylon took second in 3:26.55. Westbury won the 4 x 400 Nassau trials in 3:25.62 and Freeport was second in 3:26.01. Each of the relay teams will compete at the Millrose Games at Madison Square Garden on Jan. 31.

GIRLS TRACK

Brentwood takes first. Brentwood's 4 x 400 relay team won in 3:58.64 in the Suffolk Millrose trials. Bay Shore was second in 4:03.74. In Nassau, Manhasset won the 4 x 400 trial in 3:95.98, and Garden City was second in 4:01.66.

In the CHSAA 4 x 400 trials, St. Anthony's took first in 3:58.32 and Kellenberg was third in 4:01.26.

Each relay will compete at the Millrose Games at MSG on Jan. 31.

BOYS BOWLING

Mineola 3, Locust Valley 0: Phil Wacker opened Game 1 with eight strikes in a row to finish with a 269, part of a 628 series to lead Mineola over Locust Valley, 855-631, 663-630 and 817-398.

North Shore 3, Oyster Bay 0: Kenny Zukas rolled a 232 in Game 2 of a 631 series to lead North Shore, 684-613, 773-756, 750-693.

Sewanhaka District 2, Carle Place 1: Josh Roca bowled a 236 in Game 1, and a 235 in Game 2 in a 685 series to lead Sewanhaka District.

Hicksville 3, Hempstead 0: James Kingseep bowled a 246 in Game 2 of a 711 series to lead Hicksville over Hempstead, 876-518, 873-547, 815-605. Zak Kelly bowled a 258 in Game 2 of a 684 series for the Comets.

GIRLS BOWLING

Mineola 3, Locust Valley 0: Heather Dolan rolled a 213 in Game 1 of a 531 series and Stephanie Gross had a 167 in Game 3 to lead Mineola in a 627-493, 591-472, 602-508.

Hicksville 3, Hempstead 0: Kaycie Gamblin bowled a 193 in Game 3 and Alyssa Hesse had a 186 in Game 1 to lead Hicksville to a 607-365, 563-393, 674-383 win.

Sewanhaka District 3, Carle Place 0: Amanda Esteves rolled a 191 in Game 2, and 199 in Game 3 of a 573 series as Sewanhaka District prevailed 686-654, 658-587, 726-535.

Kellenberg 3, Sacred Heart 0: Monica Weitekamp bowled a 510 series with a high game of 190 for Kellenberg in a 863-693, 883-819, 781-734 win.

GIRLS GYMNASTICS

Oceanside 150.75, Valley Stream Central 122.4: Cheyenne Blumberg won the uneven bars with a score of 8.9, Kara Wischerth won the balance beam with a score of 8.3 and Casey Block won the floor exercise with a score of 8.8 for Oceanside.

Plainview JFK 169.95, Sewanhaka District 160.5: Victoria Vitale won the all-around with a score of 34.1 for Plainview JFK.

BOYS FENCING

Ward Melville 22, Half Hollow Hills 5:Josh Barracks went 3-0 in epee to lead Ward Melville.Wheatley 17, Great Neck North 10:Charles Yu and Arjun Balakumar both went 3-0 in foil for Wheatley.

GIRLS FENCING

Ward Melville 22, Half Hollow Hills 5:Alexa Rohan went 3-0 in sabre and Derry Albert went 2-1 in epee to lead Ward Melville.

BOYS SWIMMING

Great Neck North 93, Sewanhaka District 91: Jasper Wu won the 100-yard freestyle (56.00) and the 100 breaststroke (1:09.95) for Great Neck North.

Half Hollow Hills 95, Smithtown 88: Matthew Deblasio won the 200 IM in 2:00.46 and the 100 backstroke in 56.28 and Ryan Savic took first in diving with a 232.5 to lead Half Hollow Hills.

Sachem North 92, Ward Melville 80: Zach Coleman won the 100-yard butterfly in 55.35 and 200 IM in 208.21 to lead Sachem North.
