Four Long Island wrestlers — Huntington's Damon McQueen (119 pounds) and Ryan Fox (160), Syosset's Nick Arujau (125), Central Islip's Andy Rodriguez (145) — have been selected to participate in the 36th annual Dapper Dan Wrestling Classic on Saturday at the University of Pittsburgh's Fitzgerald Field House.

McQueen (pictured), Arujau and Rodriguez all won New York state titles in Albany three weekends ago, while Fox was a county runner-up.

Team New York will wrestle a dual meet against the WPIAL (Western Pennsylvania Interscholastic Athletic League) All Stars at 6 p.m., before the entire Pennsylvania team takes on a U.S.A all-star team at 8 in what they call "The Rose Bowl of Wrestling."

Many other state champs will head to Virginia Beach the following weekend for the high school nationals. We'll keep you posted if any of the locals make some noise down there.
