Whitman 40, Bay Shore 36: Carlos Rodriguez's pin of Luke Attisani in 1:54 at 125 pounds, the last bout of the night, sealed the match for Whitman (1-1). It was the third of three consecutive pins.
Patchogue-Medford 35, Floyd 20: Ben Scalzo got Pat-Med (1-0) started with a pin over Dennis Manny in 3:00 at 112 pounds in League I.
East Islip 40, Newfield 23: Tom Carew defeated Ray Rivera, 6-3, at 135 pounds for East Islip (2-0) in League III.
West Babylon 49, Deer Park 25: Reggie Robinson's single-leg takedown 30 seconds into overtime earned him a 6-4 decision over Joe Bilello at 215 pounds for West Babylon (1-0) in the first bout of their League IV match. Bilello, who placed fourth in the county last season, was the top-ranked wrestler in the weight class.
Smithtown West 45, Copiague 19: Joe Wietemeyer earned a 3-2 decision over Clinton Boone at 160 pounds for Smithtown West (1-1).
Comsewogue 36, Harborfields 32: Kevin Stearns pinned Nick Mangakis in 1:22 to win at 140 pounds and seal the victory for Comsewogue (1-1) in League V.
Jericho 54, Great Neck South 16: Joe Chamish pinned Yannick Reboh in 1:10 at 160 pounds for Jericho (2-1) in Conference 2B.
Oceanside 163.15, Hicksville 154.05: Tara Wischerth won the all-around with a 31.5 for Oceanside (5-0), giving coach Andy Morris his 200th career win. Morris, who took over the gymnastics program 28 years ago, led the team to a county championship during the 2007-08 season. "You see it coming and then you realize it's a reality," Morris, also the school's baseball coach, said of the milestone. "It's a wonderful feeling . . . I started my career as a baseball coach, but I think I'll end it as a gymnastics coach."
Massapequa 162.65, Valley Stream Central 117.7: Ashley Tortorella won the uneven bars (8.1) and the balance beam (8.7) to lead Massapequa (5-1). Kim Blaskey (33.05) and Brianna Saba (31.6) took first and second in the all-around.
Port Washington 125.9, Great Neck North 116.6: Alix Grossman won beam (7.5) and Jessica Medaglia won the uneven bars (6.0) for Port Washington (3-1). Rachel Sion won the floor exercise (7.8) and vault (7.7) for Great Neck North.
