Andy Rodriguez

Central Islip, senior

Following Dutton's dominant performance in Albany was Rodriguez, left, who struggled to beat Glenn's Nick Terdick for the second time in two weeks. A-Rod defeated Terdick, 6-4, for his second straight Suffolk title, then 3-2 to capture the 140-pound state championship, but felt overshadowed by Dutton. So the senior is trying to drop from 145 to 140 to take on his foil.

"I want to go after who is supposedly the best in Suffolk County," said A-Rod, who has wanted another shot at Dutton since he teched Rodriguez in their freshman season. "He's the one kid who made me feel like I've never wrestled before in my life. I don't care who he beats. I don't care what he's done. Watch me go after him."
