Znaniecki's goal lifts Comsewogue in OT

Karie Znaniecki scored unassisted with 4:54 left in OT to lift Comsewogue (5-0) over East Hampton, 3-2, in Division III field hockey. Comsewogue's Erin Dougherty tied it at 2 off a feed from Marykate McCormick with 6:50 to go. The Bonackers took a 1-0 lead on a first-half score by Natalie Sequeira. East Hampton led 2-1 after Thea Grenci's goal with 9:45 left in the second. Smithtown West 2, Half Hollow Hills 1: Briana D'Amico scored on a direct shot from inside the circle with 8:13 left to win it for Smithtown West (3-3) in Division I. Amanda Balling tied it with 11:14 left. Sachem East 4, Smithtown East 3: Katie Trombetta scored the game-winner with 13:06 left to lead Sachem East (5-0) in Division I.

Northport 5, Newfield 1: Senior Gabrielle Sullivan scored a career-high four goals for Northport (3-2) in Division I.

Friends Academy 1, North Shore 0: Bridie Gahan scored 24 minutes in on a feed from Brooke Henn for Friends (4-2-1) in non-league.

Massapequa 15, Farmingdale 66, Plainview JFK 89:Nick DeLuna took first in 17:20 in the 5K for Massapequa in a Conference I tri-meet. Andrew Valenski was second in 17:32 for the Chiefs (7-0), who took the top eight places.GIRLS GYMNASTICS

Connetquot 151.4, Patchogue-Medford 149.975:Samantha Lester took second on floor (9.1) and bars (7.75) to lead Connetquot (1-0). Megan Halloran won all four events for Pat-Med with a 9.3 on floor, an 8.175 on vault, an 8.7 on beam and a 7.775 on bars. Port Jefferson 138.45, Copiague 82.8:Devon Koban swept all four events, earning first place on vault (8.45), bars (8.3), beam (7.8) and floor (8.6) for Port Jefferson (1-0).BOYS BADMINTON

Long Beach 4, Bellmore JFK 3: Andrew Schnier and David Fuchs defeated Jesse Richheimer and Dan Rabinowitz, 21-14, 21-15, in the deciding match at fourth doubles to lead Long Beach (2-3) in league. GIRLS SWIMMINGJericho 94, Long Beach 92:Isabella Mu won the 200-yard IM (2:19.84) and the 100 backstroke (1:06.42) to lead Jericho. It's the first time in its program's history that Jericho has beaten Long Beach, according to coach Richard Stern. Cady Zawatson won the 200-freestyle (1:58.06) for Long Beach to qualify for the state tournament.

Plainview JFK 63, Bethpage 39: Freshman Isabel Ren won the 100-yard backstroke (106.6) and the 200 IM (2:30.0) to lead Plainview JFK (2-1) in Conference II.

BOYS GOLFOceanside 9, Freeport 0:Lawrence Naurello shot a par 36 on the front nine of the Eisenhower Blue Course to lead Oceanside (3-2). Adam Weber shot a 2 over 38 and Brian Bernstein shot a 39.

GIRLS VOLLEYBALLShoreham-Wading River 3, Sayville 0: Emma Houlihan had 10 aces and 17 kills for SWR (3-3) over Sayville, 25-19, 25-13, and 25-14 in League VI. Chelsea Hughes added nine kills and Tori Robinson had 27 assists. Half Hollow Hills West 3, Comsewogue 2: Jenna Marinis had 14 kills for Hills West (3-3) in a 25-11, 21-25, 20-25, 25-21, 25-21 win in League IV. Kristina Spinelli had 12 kills.
