2011 NHL Draft Today

Getting closer to crunch time in the Twin Cities, where the 2011 NHL Entry Draft will commence later tonight.

Who will the Islanders take with the fifth pick? Ryan Strome? Dougie Hamilton? Sean Couturier?

As always, General Manager has been close-lipped about their target and you can never really rule out a surprise. With the Flyers cleaning house yesterday, this draft has already taken some interesting twists and turns.

I'll be live tweeting and blogging from the Xcel Center later today. Here is the breakdown of the Islanders picks this draft:

Round 1 - 5th overall
Round 2 -
34th overall
Round 2 -

(from Wisniewski deal to Montreal)
Round 3 -

(from 4th round 2010 draft selection dealt to Colorado)
Round 4 -

Round 5 -
124th overall
Round 5 -
126th overall
(from two 6th round 2010 draft picks dealt to Atlanta)
