Islanders forward Blake Comeau's arbitration date--dead last on the docket--has been set for August 4.
The 25-year-old winger, who set career highs in scoring this season with 24 goals and 22 assists in 77 games, was the lone Islander to file Tuesday.
Comeau's comparables set the table for a significant raise if he reaches his arbitration hearing, but the two sides could also come to an agreement on a new deal before the August 4 deadline.
That doesn't appear to be in the immediate future, however.
Comeau's agent, Kurt Overhardt, and Islanders GM Garth Snow have had no such discussions, Overhardt told Newsday Friday afternoon.
