Jack Capuano said Kevin Poulin has played a lot of hockey in the past week, starting (and winning) four games, with three shutouts, for Bridgeport in the prior seven days before his call-up. So Evgeni Nabokov, who has allowed nine goals on the last 45 shots he's faced, will make his ninth straight start, with Poulin backing up.

The rest of the lineup stays the same, with Dylan Reese the lone healthy scratch. Reese and David Ullstrom went through a hard morning skate, so Ullstrom may be nearing a return for Thursday; if a couple forwards continue their scoring drought tonight, Ullstrom will get right into the lineup.

Al Montoya also skated this morning and said he's close to being ready to return to the lineup.

Jimmy Howard will get the start tonight for the Wings, who come in having won five of seven. Remarkably, they haven't beaten the Isles in regulation in five meetings (Isles are 4-0-1) since the lockout.
