UPDATE: Isles and Lightning tied at 2 after two periods

Four seconds after an Islanders power-play expired, Martin St. Louis scored on a rush--one of many given up by the Islanders in he second period--but P.A. Parenteau scored the equalizer on a 5-on-3 PP midway through the the second.

Already down a man, Tampa gave the Islanders a two-man advantage when Steven Stamkos was slapped with a penalty for cross-checking Nino Niederreiter while chasing after his own rebound in the crease.

P.A. Parenteau caught the puck and tallied from the left circle to tie the game at 2 with 10 minutes remaining in the second.

UPDATE: Isles 1, Lightning 1 after first period

Michael Grabner buries a rebound for his second goal of the season to give the Islanders an early lead at 2:15, but former Islander Sean Bergenheim tied the game with less than two minutes to play in the period after Teddy Purcell sprung him for an easy breakaway goal/
