Isles vs. Canadiens

Isles fall 3-1 to Montreal for third straight loss

Sorry....was having wireless issues throughout the game. See game recap in post above.

Isles trail 1-0 after first period

Tomas Plekanec banked Mike Cammalleri's rebound in for a power-play foal at 2:42 to give the Canadiens a 1-0 lead and extend his goal streak to three games.

After the goal, goaltender Dwayne Roloson skated to the bench to get his right skate sharpened; might've lost an edge on the play.

Isles were 0-2 on the PP and outshot 12-7. Not creating enough quality chances against backup goaltender Alex Auld in his season debut.

Second of a home-and-home against the Habs for the Islanders. Two nights after a disappointing 5-3 loss in Montreal, the Islanders host the Canadiens at Nassau Coliseum.

Dwayne Roloson makes his second straight start tonight; Trent Hunter (foot) returns to the lineup.

Defenseman Bruno Gervais returns to the lineup...as a forward.
