Jack Capuano is apparently going to keep that to himself until closer to game time today. The Islanders are about to take the ice for a morning skate at the Coliseum, but Capuano is still mulling over who sits so that Nino Niederreiter can make his season debut.
The most obvious candidates are Blake Comeau (no points in 12 games, -6) and Kyle Okposo (0-3-3 in 14 games, -7). Less obvious candidates are Brian Rolston, who would play his 1,200th NHL game if he's in the lineup, or Jay Pandolfo, whose fourth-line/PK role has been fulfilled pretty well so far, despite his lack of scoring.
Okposo takes faceoffs and could move to center, opening up the possibility of either Josh Bailey or Marty Reasoner sitting, but besides the team-wide offensive woes that are afflicting both of them, they've done some decent work in the faceoff circle and on the forecheck of late.
