Rob Schremp in running for Play of the Year

Rob Schremp is in the running for TSN's Play of the Year for that unbelievable goal against Colorado, in which he swatted the puck out of mid-air to give the Isles a 2-1 edge in the second period back in January.

As Schremp joked after that game: "See? All that showing off before practice each day pays off!"

Schremp is among the five candidates in Pool B (Steve Stamkos already advanced in Pool A), but he'll face some stiff competition. Not only will he have to beat last year's winner Miikka Kiprusov--who makes a miraculous kick save with the back of his heel--he'll also be competing with a pretty formidable through-the-legs tally from Mike Ribeiro of Dallas.
