Born July 7, 1966, Cranston, R.I.

Was a fifth-round pick of the Leafs in the 1984 draft; played six NHL games as a defenseman with the Leafs, Canucks and Bruins.

Head coach for four seasons in the East Coast Hockey League with Knoxville (1996-97) and Pee Dee (1997-2001).

Assistant coach for one season with the Islanders (2005-06) under Steve Stirling and Brad Shaw.

Four-plus seasons with Bridgeport of the AHL (2007-2010), the last three-plus as head coach.

Compiled a 133-108-14 record as head coach with Bridgeport, with two playoff appearances.

His younger brother, Dave, played with Garth Snow at the

University of Maine.
