Bridgeport defenseman and top prospect Travis Hamonic has been recalled on an emergency basis for practice today.
The 20-year-old blue-liner, who has two goals and five assists in 19 games for Bridgeport this season, was called up to fill the void left by Mike Mottau's absence.
Mottau, who was struck in the right eye with a shot Sunday, is still in Atlanta being treated by specialists until pressure in his eye subsides and he is able to return to NY.
There has been no official timetable/prognosis released for the 32-year-old veteran yet.
Jack Hillen (concussion) has been cleared to skate. He is out on the ice with Andrew MacDonald (hand) and both goalies before the rest of the team takes the ice at 10:30.
