1-0 Tampa, end of 1

Sluggish, non-thinking period for NYR. Only couple breakups of odd-man rushes by Michael Rozsival and some sharp saves by Henrik Lundqvist kept this one 1-0. Dana Tyrell, who lost the puck as he cut to the front on a 2 on 1 but it slid through Lundqvist at 13:03, had several good chances on his three shots, one in the opening minute on the doorstep. The Blueshirts miss Ryan Callahan's physical play and energy. Marian Gaborik, outside of getting his stick on a Martin St. Louis gimme, has been invisible, with zero shots. Lundqvist also robbed St. Louis on the doorstep with 5:23 to go in the first. Ruslan Fedotenko and Brandon Dubinsky, trying to force their way into the offensive zone, caused turnovers. The Rangers were 0-1 on the power play
